How can we prepare young people for the challenges of the digital world? Find out at digcompchild.eu

DigComp Child has now a new digital home. We are officially launching digcompchild.eu, the website where you can follow the project, keep up with its progress and access the resources we will be developing over the coming months.

To make sure you don’t miss the latest updates and find out when the project’s results and tools will be available, we invite you to subscribe to the project newsletter.

DigComp Child is developing and testing a curriculum of digital competence for adolescents aged 12 to 16. The project aims to address one of the major challenges facing the education community: how to prepare adolescents to navigate the digital world critically, safely and responsibly, and how to give teachers the tools they need to help students develop these competences in the classroom.

From now on, you will also be able to follow that journey on our website. At digcompchild.eu, you will find:

  • Information about the objectives, methodology and phases of the DigComp Child project.
  • Resources, publications and publicly available results produced throughout the project.
  • Information about the digital competences that form the basis of DigComp Child’s work.

But the website is designed to be much more than a place to simply share what we do.

As DigComp Child progresses, we will provide access to the DigComp Child E-learning Center, a learning platform that will bring together the theoretical and practical content that makes up the project’s curriculum. The aim is to give teachers access to all the resources and tools designed to help them develop their students’ digital competences in the classroom.

These materials will be especially relevant to schools, which will be able to use the project’s tools for teacher training and for their work with students, and to public authorities, which will be able to consider making them available to schools in their area in the future. They will also be of interest to families, organisations and anyone interested in improving digital education for adolescents.

In this way, digcompchild.eu will grow alongside the project: first, as a hub for following its development and accessing its results; later, also as a gateway to resources that can be used in real educational settings.

Would you like to keep up with the project’s progress and find out when its results will be available?

The best way to stay up to date, alongside visiting our website, is to subscribe to the DigComp Child newsletter. You will receive key updates, information about the project’s results and news about the availability of its tools and resources.

We invite you to follow the project’s progress with us. And if you have any questions or would like more information about the project, you can contact us at info@digcompchild.eu.
